I bought this printer several years ago after reading lots of recommendations and great reviews. My intention was to use it to print photos and fine art prints.
Since day one the color has never been good on this thing. Even after color managing everything it is practically impossible to get a decent, accurate print. There is a distinct green tinge to a lot of prints, especially b&w. I've spent countless hours of frustration and countless cartridges of ink trying to get this piece of junk to print properly, to no avail. I use only Epson paper and Epson inks.
Eats through ink like crazy. Every time it starts up it cleans the heads, which uses ink. Pretty much any time I have to print a nozzle check pattern (becoming more and more frequent as time goes on) I have to replace a cartridge. The print check alone seems to eat up 1/4 of a cartridge. Ridiculous.
I literally get better colored prints from the $40 Canon I have laying around. So disappointing.
On the rare occasions when it does print things nicely- they are beautiful. But between replacing ink and managing colors those prints are few and far between.
I will never purchase another Epson product - AVOID this printer if you value your sanity.
