We bought this printer on sale at a local store and figured it was worth a shot. I am a seasoned photographer and home photo printer, but no matter what adjustments I made to contrast and brightness, the pics were too dark with too much contrast. It ate up the ink cartridges just with me trying to calibrate it to get good prints! (Or, it supposedly did, since the microchip decides whether you've used up the ink even if you haven't.) After perhaps a dozen prints, I was apparently out of ink! What?!
I have two other photo printers but one prints too yellow and the other too magenta (and both do it randomly), but at least the ink lasts long enough for me to tweak the images themselves so I can account for the printers' whims that day.
It has been sitting in my home office collecting dust (and serving as a place to dump stuff that's actually useful) for months. I am going to actually recycle it rather than give it away, it's that bad!
