No one expects to be able to repair or re-use a paper cup, and you should feel the same about printers if you buy this model. I had it for less than 2 years, and used it very lightly. I probably only printed maybe 100 sheets of paper in the two years. This month, it developed a paper jam, or so it claimed. Won't print, copy, or scan - Clear paper jam!! There is no jam, what there is, is a broken sensor, and Canon has no solution for that. There is no one who can fix it, seriously. It's out of warranty, but that doesn't matter because it can't be fixed, period. Canon told me to just throw it away, and they sent me a code for a "customer loyalty" discount to buy another one direct from Canon. With the loyalty discount, the Canon price is still higher than every other price you can find.
So be prepared to get stuck with a piece of junk that requires special recycling and to buy a different one, quickly.
