I purchased two of these printers over 5 years ago. They are great work horses, and still in production - yes I had the noise problem with one of the units (3 in 1 oil) fixed the problem, yes I had paper jamming problems (cleaning the rollers) solved the jamming!
I take a lot of digital pictures - Up to 1200 X 2400 resolution - plus I am a screen printer - which means the printer stays busy. Many friends of mine have purchased these machines without complaints! I am not looking to change these beasts!
Best purchase of a printer I have ever made !
