Is it technologically possible to make a printer that doesn't run out of ink so quickly, with such high cartridge replacement costs?
Why can't black and white text be printed without using the color cartridges?
Is the industry even trying to make better printers?
This printer is very irritating. It appears to be low quality construction. It is slow. The features are minimal (you can't print black and white even).
The cost of cartridge replacement is a substantial percentage of the price of the printer itself! If the cartridges are really worth this much, this implies the printer itself is worth almost nothing. And that's what it feels like.
Canon's camera's are great (based on my observation from owning 2 of them); but this printer is awful. I don't even look forward to throwing it away. Caveat emptor.
